Another Google Android phone is coming. The T-Mobile G2 will make it first appearance on next month (January 26), according to “rumors report” by Cell Phone Signal. According to the blog, the G2 is expected to have a full touch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, VGA camera for video calls, and 5-megapixel autofocus camera.
Boy Genius Report has reported that the release date will actually be in April 2009, but the specs information released by Cell Phone Signal are accurate. In addition, the T-Mobile G2 would not have build-in QWERTY keyboards, but the trackball at the bottom of the device remain. T-Mobile G2 is also expected to be sold everywhere around the world, unlike G1.
This week, private group of developers (known as Cupcake) make some improvements to the Android operating system. The Cupcake will make Android into larger and powerful, open source Android project.
Most of the improvements made to Android operating system lately are related to bug fixes, affecting elements such as, conversation list scrolling, alarm clock, and the e-mail. A number of new features also added, such as the ability to save MMS attachments. The latest Android operating system also enhanced with basic x86 support, and Linux kernel 2.6.27.
