2 days ago, Google’s launched their first smartphone, called T-Mobile G1. With this new smartphone technology, Google’s broader their services and declared their challenge with iPhone 3G which is currently popular.

T-Mobile G1 Features:
- Comes in 3 colors – Black, White, and Brown
- Touch screen similar to iPhone
- Trackball navigation
- High speed internet browsing
- Wi-Fi
- E-Mail Client
- Instant Messaging
- Short Messages Services (SMS)
- Global Positioning System (GPS)
- 3 mega pixels camera with photo sharing capability
- QWERTY keyboard layout
- Integrated with most Google applications such as Gmail, Google Maps, etc.
This T-Mobile G1 is powered by Google’s open source Android software, which open source project developed by 34 group members is called “Open Handset Alliance”. This project already started since November 2007. This open-source Linux based Android software allows other developer to develop the application for the device and brings advantage to T-Mobile G1 phone.
T-Mobile G1 will be available in US stores on October 22 and will cost $179 which is $20 cheaper than iPhone 3G. This smartphone is expected to reach about 10% of smartphone market in 2011.

i dont like its design at all. it looks like an old phone. the idea of having a google phone is appealing anyway. by the way the phone sports a touchscreen also

I have been following this with great interest- seems I have the only phone available when no one cares to make any apps available for it. I am using a Samsung instinct and find I can’t login into wordpress 2.6+ blogs or use most of the free apps available. The gmail app for mobile does NATO work on phone either. For something labelled as an iPhone killer… very disappointing.

For T-Mobile G1, there will be a bundle of tmobile g1 accessories online to select from; everything from Backup Batteries to Car Accessories, G1 Cases, Chargers, Cables, Headphones, Cradles, Bluetooth Accessories, and more. The list goes on and on, but basically the primary purposes of any g1 accessories are to add functionality, such as where you can use it and what you can use it with, make some features easier to use, and extend the use of the G1 Android phone.

The Android software is awesome because there are going to be so many free apps for the g1 phone that you can pretty much do anything you want.

G1 mobile phone has captured a major part of market and attracted the most no. of mobile phone user. Today G1 Mobile Phone has been a demand of the day. Its features make it the king of all mobile phones in the market today. As per the records mobile phone has become necessarily for life and if we talk about which is the best Mobile Phone then it’s the Google’s Android that is counted first.
