The new Sony Walkman NWZ-S738F, available in capacities of 4GB and 8GB, is a first-class MP3 player. With stylish and slim design, it also has brushed metal faceplate and back. With only 1.6-ounce weight and 3.6”x1.75”x0.31” frame, it should be easy to carry anywhere and fit your small pockets.

The player able to produce high quality sound, especially when its noise-canceling feature turned on and with help of its noise-canceling earbuds. Compared with the latest iPods and the Creative Zen X-Fi, Sony Walkman NWZ-S738F produced a better sound quality with only 82 signal-to-noise ratios and 0.01% of noise level. The headphone port also compatible with any mini jack. But, to enhance its noise-canceling feature, you must use the included earbud set with it.
The 2” diagonal and 240×320 screen is bright and vibrant enough to view your playlist, but it’s a bit too small to watch videos. The navigation buttons is also flexible, with four directional buttons encircle the Play/Pause, Back and Options buttons (which double as Home and Power Off, respectively, when pressed for a few seconds) sit on either side. A lock switch and volume adjuster occupies the right edge of the player, and the noise-cancellation switch, headphone jack, and proprietary syncing/charging connector reside on the bottom.
Despite of how great the player is, it only support limited file types, the player only supports MP3, .wav, DRM-free AAC and WMA audio files. For video files, it only supports MPEG-4 (H.264 codec) and M4V files.
If you like your music plays in high quality and clean, delivered via creative features, the Walkman NWZ-S738F is a great option.
