Nehalem Core i7 - Higher Performance but Power Saver

Posted by   izwan00   in   August 17th 2008

According to Roger Kay, founder and president of Endpoint Technologies, Nehalem Core i7 will use almost the same power consumptions as the previous processor (or lower) but will deliver a higher performance.

“Nehalem is pretty subtle because it’s a change in microarchitecture. A lot of the changes aren’t all that visible to the end user. But one of the most notable (changes) is power saving”, he says.

Generally, Nehalem Core i7 will deliver the better performance than the current Intel Processors technology while using the same power consumption.

We Are Not Alone

Posted by   izwan00   in   August 16th 2008

It becomes a natural nature of human to be curious. And as piece of such nature, people sometimes question who they are, what they are and what their place is in the enormousness of the universe. As intellectual beings, we can’t help to think and ask, “Are we alone in the universe?” We all exist in this planet called Earth. You get across on its surface very much similar as the electrons orbiting around the nucleus. Think back your science class way back in high school? You talked about the planets, the solar system, and the universe in general. The planet Earth carries one moon that constantly orbiting around it, as the center of the solar system, the Sun has countless another things rotates around it. The solar system is in orbit to an array that similarly orbits in the middle of the attractive galaxy. And then reciprocally, the galaxy appears to orbit around a mass that bears several galaxies in orbit to it. Where is the universe in entirely these complexities? The world is the boundless expansion wherein all the things mentioned are found. Universe addresses for everything, such as energy and substance that exist.

How to Install Squid Proxy Server

Posted by   izwan00   in   August 14th 2008

Certainly Squid server is a favourite open source GPLd proxy and web cache. It’s a variety of functions, from accelerating a web server by caching repeated requests, to caching web, name server query , and other network lookups for a group of people sharing network resources. It is mainly designed to run on Linux / Unix-like systems. Squid is a high-performance proxy caching server for Web clients, supporting FTP, gopher, and HTTP data objects. Unlike traditional caching software, Squid handles all requests in a single, non-blocking, I/O-driven technique. Squid maintains meta data and specially hot objects cached in RAM, caches DNS lookups, supports non-blocking DNS lookups, and implements negative caching of failed requests. Squid comprises of a main server program squid, a Domain Name System lookup program (dnsserver), a program for retrieving FTP data (ftpget), and a lot of management and client tools.

Here is the instruction on how to install Squid proxy server:
