The most significant bug fixes for this version is the vulnerably of SQL Column Truncation and the weakness of mt_rand() function. This bug fix is essentially required if you allowed open registration on your blog as the previous version (2.6.1) allows attackers to craft a username and it will allow resetting some other user’s password then randomly generate password. However, this generated password is not revealed to the attacker, so this bug problem is version 2.6.1 itself.
Besides that, this randomly generated password could be guess because the weakness in the random number seeding in mt_rand() function.
