For those who are looking for a game that totally simulate the WWII, then Call of Duty 5 (Cod5) is for you. Cod 5 is built based on Call of Duty 4 (Modern Warface) game engine, which delivers powerful visuals, while empowering players to using elements such as fire to enhance the flexibilities of the combat zone.

This time the story will be focused on the war in Pacific and Eastern Europe, which are the final battles of World War II. This war is involving the Japan, Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and United States. The game story is based on the perspectives of a Red Army soldier and Marine Raider. It also based on several popular battles, including the Battle of Peleliu, Makin Island raid, and the Battle of Berlin.

Compared to the previous installments in the Call of Duty game series, Cod5 will feature more enhancements, such as swimming, flamethrowers and more vehicles. Players will be introduced to a new weapons, such as flamethrower, that able to revealed a camouflaged enemy by burning away environmental elements. In addition, the game will be more flexible, as there are multiple options to complete the missions.

For multiplayer version of World at War, it will be more focused on a squad-based interaction. This multiplayer version will use a same perk system that already in used in Call of Duty 4 except the cooperative game play, which enable 2-4 players play online at the same time using split screen feature. There are several modes in multiplayer version, such as capture the flag, team death match, Multi-Bombe Search and Destroy and others as well. Also, multiplayer modes also have many enhancements, such as more guns, more grenades (Molotov, Tabun nerve gas, signal flares and Cocktails), and more maps, which will give player more flexibility.

The Beta version of World at War Multiplayer client has been released several weeks earlier, which available to download at Call of Duty official website.
